China Roses Hire Terms

When hiring from China Roses, you are agreeing to the following terms:

A period of hire is for 3 days - delivery the day before your event and collection the day after. Please contact us if you require longer.

All items remain the property of China Roses and the hirer takes full responsibility for their care until return or collection. This includes loss and/or breakage.

A booking deposit of 25% is payable on all orders and the balance is payable 14 days prior to the event. Cash, cheque or bank transfer are all accepted.

Amendments to the order can be made up to 2 weeks prior to your event.

On delivery to, or collection by, the hirer, a refundable ‘damage’ deposit of £100 is required by separate cheque. This deposit will be refunded in full unless damage, loss and/or breakages occur.

Damaged and broken items must be returned to China Roses carefully wrapped to avoid injury.

Any returned damaged or broken items are deducted from the deposit at the following rates:

  • Teapot - £20 per pot
  • Glass vases/bowls/ jars, candle sticks, hurricane vases, glass Pimms/lemonade style jug - £10.00 per item
  • Sugar bowl, milk jug, napkin ring - £7.00 per item
  • Cup, saucer, tea plate, middle size plate, champagne flute - £5.00 per item
  • Vintage cutlery, servers, napkins - £5.00 per item
  • Any damaged or missing linen will be charged at £20.00 per item.

Missing items (which have not been returned damaged or broken) will be charged at £10.00 per item. Teapots £25.00.

Should the cost of damage or loss exceed the damage deposit, the hirer agrees to pay the balance.

The deposit will be returned when all items have been checked.

China Roses Crockery Hire accepts no responsibility for injury or damage caused by the hire items.

Cancellation

If in the unfortunate event you have to cancel your order up to 60 days prior to your booking, your deposit will be returned in full. If cancellation is within 30 days of the event 50% of the deposit will be returned. Less than 15 days the deposit is non-returnable.

Cancellations should always be confirmed in writing by letter or email using the booking form reference to: info@chinarosescrockeryhire.co.uk

Unforeseen circumstance

If either party is subject to circumstances outside reasonable control, including but not limited to war, fire, industrial disputes or civil disturbance, it shall notify the other and the first party's obligations under these Terms shall be suspended until it notifies the other party of the end of such event.

Care and returning of the items.

The crockery is vintage and therefore delicate. After use please remove all food from the crockery and repack ready for return.

PLEASE DO NOT USE A DISHWASHER.

WE WILL DO THE WASHING UP – FREE SERVICE

All our items will be carefully packed. Please return them in the packaging supplied.

We recommend that you do not use the embroidered tablecloths where they may easily become stained.
